Gonzalo Cañas

After getting his degree in the School of Dramatic Arts in Madrid, he makes his professional debut in 1962 as co-starring actor in the Maria Guerrero Theatre.

He has worked ever since as a director, actor, producer, script writer or scenographer in 40 films, 30 plays and 70 television programmes.

He has also co-operated as a creative for several advertising companies, worked as puppet theatre specialist and written text books about theatre for secondary schools, published by Ediciones Santillana.

1988: "RINOCERONTE" by Ionesco (International Theatre Festival of Madrid) - Direction, production y adaptation.

1989: Promotion video and presentation sketch of the "RICHOH FAX CENTER" for Tapsa/NWAyer (Advertising). - Direction and script.

1991: "ESPECTÁCULOS DE MADRID" (specialised magazine). - Direction.

1993: "TEATRO DE AUTÓMATAS": Purchase and restoration.

1996: Creation of the company "LA TARUMBA", for the performance of: "RETABLILLO DE DON CRISTÓBAL" by Federico García Lorca (still being played). - Direction, production and adaptation.

1997: Organization of "ESTIVAL" (Summer Festival at Liana Park in Móstoles). - Direction and production.

1998: Organization of "TITEREMANIA", overall animation plan of the Area Comercial Bulevar in Getafe. - Direction and production.
